But as businesses grow, cybersecurity often doesn’t evolve at the same pace — and that gap can quietly introduce risk. ### Growth Expands Your Digital Footprint As a business scales, its digital environment naturally becomes more complex. New employees require access to systems, new tools are introduced to support operations, and data is accessed from more locations than ever before. Remote work, cloud platforms, and third-party services all increase efficiency, but they also create additional entry points for cyber threats. Each new account, device, or application expands the attack surface, making it more important to understand how and where systems are being accessed. ### Security Practices Often Stay the Same One of the most common challenges for growing businesses is that security practices don’t change as the business does. What worked when the company was smaller may no longer be enough.
